More Cel-Ray fun
After enjoying lots of Vernors in MI, I was excited to get back to my regional NY beverage of choice, Cel-Ray. I’m pleased to say that it is great in a float and with watermelon ice cubes. (Slight amendment to the recipe-- use a 9x13 pan)
A couple people have also told me that Alton Brown MADE celery soda on a recent episode of “Good Eats” on the Food Network.

Sounds delicious to me. Can you substitute other fruit for the Watermellon? Uncle Larry
my mom has also made cantaloupe cubes, which are very good:-)
I'm imagining that sliced limes might be good in a glass of Cel-Ray. I'm going to have to hunt that stuff down and try it. I have a weakness for anything with a little lime in it.
A quick Google search shows that the Noshville New York Deli in Nashville carries Cel-Ray (though the reviews indicate that soda is about the only good thing there.)
watermelon cubes in celery soda?? ... not quite überzeugt about that combination ;-)
Kelly, hi!! What can I say, you should come to the Big Apple and try it!
Glad you see your new post.
Cheers!
